Steamair Train Whistle
This item up for bdi was given to me by a relative living in west virginia. The only thing that i know aobut it is that it had been used on a small replica railroad that actually hauled children in an amusement park somewhere in that part of the country. It looks ot be a replica of some type of whistle.
I have used an air hose and it is very loud, can also be made to sound with a smaller amount of air. The whistle looks to have been manufactered will some degree of skill as the threaded inlet is i believe aluminum and the plugs on each pipe are also believed to be aluminum. The overall height of the whistle is just ovre 10. There are five pipes starting at 4 and 3/4, 5 3/4, 6 3/4, 7 3/4 and 8 3/4. The inelt is i believe 3/8 inche.
The whistle was found recently in cleaning my storage shed and i have no need for it perhaps someone can once again use it. Good bidding.
