Here is a vintage adlake railroad light fixture which is very large and heavy duty cast iron. I was told by an old railroad guy that this was a engine or locomotive light. Iv'e looked around the web a little, and could not find anything like it, so if he was wrong feel free to buzz in with any info. Has two clear 5 lenses front and rear, and everything seems to be in pretty good shape for its age.
There is about a 2 piece of the lip that has chipped off fo the edge of top lid and one of the lenses has a crack through it. I think both of these flaws cna be seen in the 3rd picture.
The top lid opens freely and inside is a old light socket mounted on top of a piece of wood, this prat doesn't look original to me. Overlal the fixture measures 10 1/2 tall by about 9 square on the sides.
As was stated above this is a very heave piece at about 21 lbs, so shipping will be a little pricey. Also please make sure and check out my other auctions for other vintage railroad items.

On nov-13-08 at 135658 pst, seller added the following information had a fellow ebayer inform me this was in fact a railroad semaphore lamp. They were mounted on poles and provided the light needed to illuminate the signal mounted in front of it. Please bid accordingly.
